The ability to help others heal and be the best version of themselves is why I became a massage therapist in 2003. My background is physical fitness and with over 30 years in the business, as an instructor, trainer and business owner, I have a deep understanding of the body. Combining exercise and massage is a natural fit. It’s important to live a pain free life and to feel good about yourself and that is why I love my job. My specialties are therapeutic massage (deep tissue and swedish depending on the client) and myofascial release. Injuries, surgeries and traumas are a normal part of life. When you experience these the fascia (the connective tissue of the entire body) binds down and creates pain. Myofascial release is proven to relieve chronic pain, headaches, trauma and so much more.
My approach to each treatment session is to first listen to the client and then use my training, skills and intuition to achieve their goal whether that is just to relax and relieve the stress of the day or to reduce pain. Teaching clients ways to help heal themselves is an important part of my job also so that when we are not working together you can help yourself. I am certified in deep tissue, Swedish, reflexology, pregnancy and myofascial release techniques.
In addition to fitness and caring for others, I love crafting, travel, meditation and my 2 cats Buddy and Angel. I look forward to working with you and helping you be and feel the best YOU!!
